EVE was born on the East Coast of the United States. She moved to Texas at age 5 and was immersed in the sounds and culture of the Gulf Coast. In 1972, Eve moved to Southern California and was able to continue her love affair with the ocean and seascapes. In 1996, after several trips to the South Pacific, she began capturing the inspiration of the islands and a fun-loving people who truly celebrate life. Canvases of vibrant color and serene imagery are typical.
Eve's work is best described as photo realistic. The canvases are large, dramatic and emotional. The subjects who are portrayed in her work often have a deep spiritual aura about them. The majestic skies of the South Pacific and the exotic foliage are integral parts of the work.
Many of Eve's paintings are shown at the Upcountry Gallery in Kamuela, Hawaii, where she won an award from the local residents. Her work was chosen for display in the 1998 Del Mar Art Exhibit and received the "Peoples' Choice Award". In the 2000 Del Mar Fair Art Exhibit, two works were chosen for display, both winning "Honorable Mention" Awards.
Eve was Artist of the Month exhibiting 15 works at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, CA, in November 1999. Her work has also been shown at Kern and Company in the Cedros Design District, Solana Beach, CA.
